"When I came to the House of Peace, it was the worst time in my life.
I had a hard time accepting what had happened to me. I was depressed and crying inside and out. I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I was so afraid I would end up on the street. Then I came to the House of Peace. People smiled and said, “Welcome.” They didn’t think I was a bad person and turn me away. My life began to change slowly. Now I smile."
