Connect with House of Peace
Volunteers
Help us to empower women to choose life and to begin anew.
The House of Peace volunteers add life and love to our home. They come from all areas of the City, are from diverse countries and speak a multitude of languages.
Volunteers are the foundation on which the House of Peace stands. Their investment of time, vision and energy helps the House of Peace achieve its mandate, reduces cost of operations and ensures creative programing.
Volunteers find their commitment both rewarding and challenging. Their lives are enriched with new understanding and heartfelt relationships. Before long, the volunteers discover, that for better or worse, they are life long members of the House of Peace.

We invite you to come and celebrate 21 wonderful years in the community at our Welcome Home Dinner, Monday, November 10th, 2025, at the RBC Convention Centre.

The Welcome Home Dinner has become a marquis event in our city that brings together over 800 individual and corporate supporters of the House of Peace.
We would like to take this opportunity to request your support for our 2025 Welcome Home Dinner. Your kindness and support breathes life to the work that we do!
By providing these critical services, the House of Peace is not only meeting urgent humanitarian needs but is also nurturing future community leaders. The women who pass through their doors gain the foundation to thrive and contribute fully to our city’s social, cultural, and economic fabric.
The need for this work is urgent and ongoing. With the continuing arrival of refugees from global conflicts and crises, Winnipeg requires organizations like the House of Peace more than ever.
“God bless all the people who support the House of Peace. You gave me my home."
